Abigail Enggass

It was truly a pleasure working with Abby Ellis at Camden Real Estate
Company. She really listened to us as sellers and was diligent about
meeting our goals. Communication was especially important to us and Abby
kept us well informed every step of the way. She proved to be effective,
capable and pleasant to work with. Abby made us feel like her top
priority.

"Professional, attentive, persistent, and gently humorous: all of these
words describe Abby. Having her for a real estate agent makes the daunting
task of buying or selling a house much less stressful. At every step in
our house buying/house selling process, Abby was responsive, helpful and
patient. She is also the kind of agent you'd want to keep as a friend once
the 'Sold' sign is up in your lawn."

ABBY ENGGASS
You could say real estate is in Abby’s blood. Her great grandfather and middle namesake, Fred Keller, ran a real estate office in the early 1900’s in Twin Falls, Idaho. Abby was given an old picture of his office. The black and white photo shows listings tacked to the walls, brokers sitting around a large table, a phone that certainly needed the help of an operator sits on the front desk, and one bare light bulb hangs from the 12-foot tin ceiling. What did a 3-bedroom farmhouse sell for in 1918?

‘Technology has certainly changed the way we do real estate over the years, but one thing remains the same: the need for clear, consistent communication.’ Dealing one on one with people, making them feel like they are her only clients, is what Abby is all about. ‘Having bought and sold homes myself, I understand how intense, emotional and exciting the process can be. Research is a constant and communication is imperative through the whole transaction. It helps us ALL sleep better. Doing right by my clients is my priority, I have found the livelihood will follow."

Abby is a New England native and has lived in Maine for most of her life. After earning her BA through the University of Maine, her energy and love of people led her to sales. The natural step to real estate agent came next... She has been a broker with Camden Real Estate Company for 13 years.

Abby has also enjoyed an active involvement in the Realtor Association. She is past President of both the Mid Coast Board of Realtors and its subchapter, Coastal Mountain Council of Realtors. As Chairperson of the "Realtors Giving Back" Committee, Abby directed affordable housing fundraising efforts of local Realtors. She was given the honor of Realtor of the Year by her peers in 2001.

Abby lives in South Thomaston with her husband and two children. She enjoys jogging and yoga, and her interest in natural health has led her family to raise chickens and start organic gardening.

‘Living and working in this area is a true blessing! Being involved locally and particularly in my church is important to me. There is such a spirit of community in this area with festivals and celebrations - so many activities that we enjoy as a family. There’s really no place like home!’
